Kale Chips

Kale chips...supposedly a flavorful, crunchy, healthy alternative to potato chips. Really?! Is that possible? Well, it is! The first time I made kale chips I was a little disgusted. They weren't too crunchy, they were kinda soggy and oily, and they just weren't good.

Fast forward a year or so ... Kale is still super popular. I see tons of Pinterest recipes for kale and knew I had to try kale chips again. First off, Ava loved them! Even before I baked them she was eating them. The seasoning was perfect. Once they were done, we ate them all. Every last one. I suppose they would keep well but who knows? The Parmesan cheese added a little extra flavor and this time they came super crispy. I can't wait to try them again.

I don't know if I can convince you to try these. My sister said, "If it's not in an aluminum bag, quit calling it a chip!" But I bet if you try them, you won't be sorry.

Serves   : 2-3
Prep   : 5 Minutes
Bake   : 10 Minutes
Preheat Oven   : 350 Degrees

1 bunch   Kale, or enough to lay on a baking sheet
2 Tbsp   Olive oil
2 Tbsp   Parmesan cheese, grated
1/2 tsp   Garlic powder
1/2 tsp   Kosher salt
1/8 tsp   Paprika

Remove stems from kale and make sure it's completely dry.
Place kale in a Ziplock bag. Add all ingredients.
Massage ingredients into kale.
Place kale on baking sheet. Spread out so no leaves overlap.
Bake for 10-15 minutes until slightly brown and crisp.
