Macaroni and Cheese Casserole

Two words...comfort food. Macaroni and cheese casserole is one of my favorite dishes to prepare. It reminds me of years past when my Mom would make macaroni and cheese for my sister and I. None of that boxed mac n' cheese for us! Now you too can make this easy, delicious macaroni and cheese recipe. Believe me when I say, you will be having a second helping.

I have made macaroni and cheese casserole several times but I am still experimenting with getting it exactly right. I believe one of the key points is to use a block of Cheddar cheese and grate it yourself. I also think adding just under a half a cup of the Fiesta blend cheese adds more flavor. In the past I have used Italian style bread crumbs but I thought the flavor was too over-powering. You may disagree though.

My suggestion to you is to try this recipe. Try it several times, experimenting each time. You will come up with a macaroni and cheese casserole version that is just right for you and along the way you will eat a lot of warm, yummy macaroni and cheese!

Serves   : 8 - 10
Prep   : 20 Minutes
Bake   : 30 Minutes
Preheat Oven   : 

1   package of elbow macaroni, uncooked
1/2 c.    butter or margarine
1/4 c.    flour
5 c.    milk
4 c.    shredded Cheddar cheese (or you can mix varities)
1 1/2 tsp.    salt
   pepper, to taste
   bread crumbs

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Cook pasta according to package directions.
In large saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.
Blend in flour, salt and pepper.
Gradually stir in milk.
Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens and mixture begins to boil.
Add cheese (I use cheddar and a pinch of Fiesta blend Mexican); stir until cheese is melted.
In 3 quart casserole dish, stir together cooked pasta and cheese mixture. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and bake 30 minutes or until bubbly.

Taking medicaltions or birth control pills will not effect pregnancy tests, unless of course your medication contains h - CG. When it came time to select the homeopathic h - CG product I would use for round two I was intrigued with the option of Homeopathic h - CG Pellets. s better not to test instead of wasting your health insurance and money on these fake, choose nothing diets.
