Reese's Peanut Butter Banana Bread

Oh.my.God. I was perusing Pinterest (as always!) and discovered the most amazing banana bread recipe on Cookies & Cups. If banana bread isn't good enough...along came Reese's peanut butter banana bread. I love chocolate and I love peanut butter. Combining these ingredients with banana bread was simply genius.

The recipe was really simple to make and I had all ingredients on hand except for the Reese's, which I found at the local grocery store. The scent of this bread baking was pure deliciousness. If we hadn't already sold our house I would be baking this so that the house smelled all warm and cozy.

I didn't add the whole bag of Reese's because, of course, as I was putting the other ingredients together I was munching on the Reese's. It's true....no shame! I am a chocolate / junk food addict. Sigh...


Serves   : 8
Prep   : 15 Minutes
Bake   : 60 Minutes
Preheat Oven   : 350 Degees


Ingredients
3   Ripe, mashed bananas
1 1/2 cups   Flour
1/2 tsp   Baking soda
1 1/2 tsp   Baking powder
1/2 tsp   Salt
1/2 cup   Peanut butter
1/4 cup   Oil
1/2 cup   Granulated sugar
1/4 cup   Brown sugar
1    Egg
8 oz   Reese's Mini Cups


Preparation
1.
Grease loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray.
2.
Mash bananas.
 
3.
Whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt, set aside.
 
4.
In another bowl, gently stir together, bananas, peanut butter, oil, granulated sugar and brown sugars, and egg.
 
5.
Pour dry ingredients over the wet ingredients.
 
6.
Stir until combined. This will be lumpy. Do not over stir.
     
7.
Fold in Reese's Mini Cups.
 
8.
Pour into loaf pan.
 
9.
Bake in oven for one hour or until cake tested comes out clean.

This sounds so good - a great change up on traditional banana bread!!
