Sausage bread Bites are an easy appetizer and also a quick snack.

Sausage bread bites are a quick and easy recipe that you can make ahead and have stocked in your freezer. My husband and I also enjoy these when we are in a hurry and want to have a quick snack.

Now that football season has started sausage bread bites is the perfect game day snack.

Serves   :
Prep   : 25 Minutes
Bake   : 15 Minutes
Preheat Oven   : 350 Degrees

Ingredients
1 package    party rye bread
3/4 block    Velveeta cheese
1 pound    hot sausage
1   green pepper, diced

Preparation
1.
Brown hot sausage and diced peppers in a skillet. For best results add 1/2 cup of water, so that sausage does not burn. Drain once sausage is browned.

2.
Add cubed Velveeta cheese and let melt, stirring occasionally.

3.
Spread mixture onto party rye bread. Aproximately 1 tablespoon on each party rye. Place party rye on baking sheet.
4.
Flash freeze each baking sheet of sausage bread bites by putting the baking sheet in the freezer uncovered for 20 minutes. Once complete, put sausage bread bites into freezer bags and store in the freezer until ready to prepare. To prepare, heat oven to 350 degrees and bake for 15 minutes.
